Jane is a qualified Teacher who has spent the last 5 years working as Youth Worker in a Community Centre.

SEN Teaching Assistant
Kirsty is a Level 3 trained Teaching Assistant. For the past 5 years, Kirsty has been working at North Molton Primary School in Devon, as an SEN Teaching Assistant working with pupils from Foundation Stage through to year 6. She has worked one to one with children with ADHD, Aspergers, Dyslexia and Challenging Behaviour and also worked with groups of children supporting with a range of topics including Numeracy and Literacy. Alison is a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. Alison completed her student placement at St Phillips C of E Primary School working predominately with Year 1. Alison has also worked as a childminder and during her time doing this she has experience working with children aged 2 - 15 years old. She also gained some knowledge of working with children with Learning Difficulties in this role as she cared for a child with Aspergers Syndrome. Alison has recently completed a temporary position working at Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School working with the Nursery Class at the school.
Alison has excellent references, one of which says she is 'always giving ideas and happy to follow instructions carefully' and also that she has 'very good' relationships with pupils.
SEN Teaching Assistant
Helen is a Teaching Assistant who will be available for work from September after relocating to the area. Helen's last position was supporting a Year 7 pupil on a one to one basis, with Speech and Language Disorder.. This experience has helped Helen develop her awareness of communication difficulties and also strategies to develop language and articulation through consulting with a Speech and Language Therapist. Helen has also been involved in writing reports for and attending meetings for the special needs review process where the child's statement was assessed.
Helen has also gained experience working with children with arrange of Learning Difficulties whilst working at SNAPPY (Special Needs Activity and Play Provision for York).Here Helen has worked with children/young adults aged 4 - 19 years with a wide range of Learning Difficulties including MLD, SLD, PMLD, ASD, Physical Impairment, Downs Syndrome and Challenging Behaviour. Helen has also attended specific courses aimed at supporting children with specific Special Needs - such as British Sign Language and Autism Awareness.
Level 3 Nursery Nurse
Shamila is an experience and qualified Nursery Nurse who takes initiative and is creative. She offers a high level of support both on a one to one basis as well as to a group of children.
Shamila has good planning and preparation skills and a sound knowledge of IEP's, numeracy and literacy. She develops excellent relationships with children and has worked with many who have Special Educational Needs.
Teaching Assistant and Nursery Nurse
An experienced Nursery Nurse and Teaching Assistant with extensive experience within main stream schools and nurseries and working with SEN children throughout all Key Stages. Sue has excellent references describing her as having "very good classroom control, making work interesting, and is friendly and professional"
